  • Approved Procurement Channels: Imports must be procured through the India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX) or nominated banks/agencies notified under Appendix 4B of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, as amended.

What Should Importers Do?

Importers should verify the applicable ITC (HS) codes, accurately complete the DGFT online application, justify the proposed import quantity and value, and submit the prescribed self-declaration to request expedited processing.

Important: DGFT may request additional documents or conduct a detailed review of any application. Importers must continue to comply with all applicable statutory provisions and DGFT import policy requirements, even when they use the simplified procedure.
