{"id":967,"date":"2026-09-22T11:56:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T11:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dgftexim.com\/blog\/?p=967"},"modified":"2026-09-22T11:56:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T11:56:16","slug":"new-fema-2026-regulations-export-import-changes-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dgftexim.com\/blog\/new-fema-2026-regulations-export-import-changes-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Old FEMA vs New FEMA 2026: Key Export-Import Regulations Effective from 1 October 2026 Part 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA)<\/strong> regulates India&#8217;s foreign exchange transactions, including <strong>export proceeds, import payments, software exports, and international trade compliance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced the <strong>Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Goods and Services) Regulations, 2026<\/strong>, which will come into force on 1 October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These regulations establish a consolidated framework for export and import transactions. <strong>Exporters, importers, and finance teams should review the changes and update their compliance procedures<\/strong> to meet the new requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EDPMS and IDPMS Compliance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AD banks use <a href=\"https:\/\/dgftexim.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dgftexim.com\/\"><strong>EDPMS (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System)<\/strong> <\/a>and <strong>IDPMS (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System)<\/strong> to monitor export and import transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new framework includes provisions for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitoring export proceeds and import payments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Updating and closing outstanding entries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing eligible small-value export and import transactions through declarations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reporting inward and outward remittances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For eligible shipping bills or invoices up to \u20b910 lakh, the AD bank may close the entry based on the exporter\u2019s declaration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bank must also follow the applicable conditions.
